We’ve had such few links to midfielders, point blank. Tenuous links to Wharton. Some links to Atalanta’s Ederson.

From Amorim’s comments and how he sets up, I think his ideal midfielder profile is an up and down physical player. I don’t think he places importance on midfielders who pass first and foremost. Ederson seems to fit this sort of profile.

It’s such a shame because we haven’t targeted that right sort of profile in CM for so so long.

He was strongly linked to Chelsea for most of last summer, then it broke down toward the end of the August

He basically had the choice: rot in the reserves until January or go on a loan to Turkey (only window still opened after August)
