    underachiever

thing is these guys had quite a lot of success at barca/bayern, xavi was kinda mid or just good at best honestly

also i’m pretty sure both enrique and flick had more previous managerial experience from smaller clubs in the league before, xavi was only in saudi or qatar or some s***

from what I remember from xavi’s barcelona tenure, I don’t think he’s the move - he had that one season but towards the end of his time at the club barca was egregious to watch most of the time

personally I think his contribution gets too gassed, he was surely an improvement on koeman (not too hard, probably played to his advantage that he took over after him) but alongside him he’s probably the worst barca coach post-pep imo

    Aye man, idk

I was hoping we’d go for Frank back in May, now we just need to grab anything we can

I’d like Glasner, but idk if I can handle another 5atb manager

Might be a hot take but I’d prefer Glasner to Howe

  • Howe or Nagelsmann never joining us let’s be real

I think your best bet is an unknown Scottish manager

I don’t like glasner as a person so that’ll be tough

yeah, given the situation right now and the current coach market, he’s probably worth giving a shot

i just don’t think he would be the solution or that much of an improvement…. but also I can’t think of anyone else who would be a better choice as of now so might as well go for it, has to be better than southgate lol

Thing is SAF wasn’t unknown and he turned down Arsenal before joining us. And beat Real Madrid with the equivalent of Leicester city in a European final.

(If that was the comparison you were making)

Funny thing is Ruben could easily buy himself another month or two if he switches to a 433 on Saturday

    Yup lol

Well since those are not around, might as well try your luck with some unknown Elf whisperer 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can hardly do worse against the likes of Grimsby

well these certainly wouldn’t be bad choices at all but I wonder if any of these 3 would be up for the task as of now, I kinda doubt it

maybe Howe though I can probably see that happening now given the situation at Newcastle, they f***ed up badly this transfer window

He has zero tactical flexibility. Which is really stupid cause even pep shifts his formation and approach based on the opposition. We do the exact same stuff and it doesn’t work. No nuances at all. As if the other 19 teams won’t be able to watch our past games and know what to expect.

Money talks. Same reason players will always join us over spurs Newcastle etc

    Could Ronaldo buy the club?

I feel like playing a 4-1-2-3 with Casemiro behind Bruno and Mainoo would genuinely work better than whatever the midfield is atm

based on his interim phase he would be worth giving a shot but his leicester tenure was absolutely terrible lol so idk if he would handle things well long term…. would be interesting to see though

    That was totally sarcastic

Bro had a string of lucky shots lmao.

Absolutely zero depth and sense of the game and coaching in general 😂

Hearing this from a 4th division manager. F*** Mars. My head is on some rock in the Andromeda.
