Player side it’s harsh bc he’s known to be a model professional and yesterday was the perfect send off, but they’ll snap him up in January I’m sure - they don’t have much depth at CB to hold out til his contract runs out.
Have to respect it imo, he wants what’s best for his team. It’s ballsy for sure but their replacement deal fell through and they would have struggled til January.
I definitely get his point of view but certainly don’t think Guehi deserved to be treated this way. Especially if the rumors of Glasner looking to move on soon are true. Definitely totally broke Guehi’s trust, now all he has is an unsettled captain.
I feel like Guehi is a big professional and will continue to deliver in no time out of his love for Palace, however he must hate his guts after this and probably won’t look at him straight ever again. There clearly was tension before and this surely is the nail in the coffin.
Making a scene like that when everything was already prepared for his departure is kinda skitzo though, if it really went down as media describe it. Must have been a crazy crashout lol.
Difficult situation for both sides and the owner too with each Guehi & Glasner having a year left on the contract, really would be no winner in this situation no matter the outcome. The point is though, I don’t think I really blame some of the players for them statements anymore if this is how they’re gonna get treated.
Still thinking about that Rashford shot what the hell was he cooking man
I just saw that earlier today
insane
Probably controversial but Isak is nowhere near worth that fee
I partially agree, however seeing how much other strikers went for this summer makes it kinda a bit more justifiable
As of now, Isak is just on another level from Woltemade, Sesko, Ekitike etc so the difference had to be reflected somehow i guess

I mean
They don’t have a lot of depth at CB, they’ve lost their star player in Eze already - after overachieving like crazy last season, and their replacement fell through. It’s not like he just flipped out of nowhere.
Long-term I think Guehi will be fine.

His injury record makes me question the fee. But the last 2 seasons he’s been incredible so I think it’s not far off it just where the market is at now. And he’s in his prime.

Exactly the same for me
the comments are killing me
He looks like the haircut guys older brother

You understand that Palace is a football club as well right? What is Glasner supposed to do? Play with 1 starting centreback? Liverpool should made this move sooner so that Palace could’ve gotten a good replacement, crazy how ppl blame Glasner for this mess
Absolutely insane if true
Lmaoooo what a clown, how did Amorim ever have confidence in this guy

The reports all summer were that he is fine with Onana and doesn't want a keeper
Yet when it came to actually playing games, he featured against Grimsby and that's it lmao
Sad people fall for this s***

Amorim gets pissed off and benches him
How does this make the earlier reports about him liking Onana false?

Because how do you know he liked Onana? Bayndir was injured + Onana was supposed to be our best keeper so it goes without saying he featured last season
