After the Grimsby social media team talked all that s*** it would only be too right to have the replay at Old Trafford and beat them 7-0

Liverpool spending 450m in one summer is very scary past the shock of it

With such low cash reserves in the club we can't afford that s*** and the gap is going to get bigger and bigger

    Terrifying

Liverpool, chelsea, city maybe arsenal all possibly about to really pull away because of that power

Well at some point it was us spending much more than Lpool and it didn’t bring us anything. Also we’re massive, we’ll be fine financially I think. If we ever really get into financial trouble I think the Glazers will prob sell us to some Arabs so it’s whatever.

You understand that Palace is a football club as well right? What is Glasner supposed to do? Play with 1 starting centreback? Liverpool should made this move sooner so that Palace could’ve gotten a good replacement, crazy how ppl blame Glasner for this mess

wtf man. how is that your take away from this text? just saying it's a really difficult situation for all sides interested in this deal

I'm definitely not blaming Palace for this situation, Glasner is obviously a very demanding coach (and there’s nothing wrong with that) which is already known from his time at Frankfurt. I totally respect that and kinda fw it, all I'm saying that treating your captain this way on deadline day is kinda foul, that's it.

Also playing with 1 starting CB is bs, they still have Richards & Lacroix who are both starters.

And Liverpool was on this move pretty much all month long, just waiting on the green light from Palace since they had a condition that they wanted to get their replacement sorted out first, so that point is totally bs. Palace didn't manage to do that and that's okay, deal most probably would've went through as well if Igor didn't change his mind last minute as he went to West Ham instead. They did manage to get Canvot yesterday but that’s one for the future, guess they didn’t count him as a direct Guehi replacement which is fair. Hard to blame Liverpool for this, Parish probably could’ve done better in searching for the replacement in time but I don’t blame him/Palace either, seems like the CB market was kinda dead.

My whole point was that it really sucks for Guehi, could’ve probably been managed better by Glasner rather than throwing a dramatic tantrum at the very last minute when the player already had a farewell video done, but that’s my opinion. Guess there probably was tension before too since Guehi ignored him after that Chelsea game (I think it was that one). Feel like Glasner’s communication skills aren’t really the best but hey I do admire that he’s not afraid to stand up for what he wants.

    Guess it’s just dipper arrogance

No arrogance from my side, apologies if it came off this way to someone. But yeah lets make this a club tribalism thing ugh.

Haven’t ever said a single bad word about palace

Agreed. At least it’s world cup qualis so it kinda makes sense unlike the Nations League bullshit before. Still can’t be bothered though

Really especially compared to City we were only spending more in a small window, because we had to catch up

Once SAF left that almost entire squad went with him - and he wasn't prolific, after we sold Cristiano we didn't really do much at all for the remaining 4 years

While we were in catch up mode City still spent equally to us, we just had no idea what to spend money on - just the knowledge it needed to be spent

Liverpool and City both have a way higher wage bill than us as well

It's a very dangerous position to be in for us really

Only scary thing about Liverpool’s spending is their recruitment atm is pretty good. City on the other hand have also spent a lot of money and don’t appear to have improved much from it.

yeah their fall-off might be massive here. I think their CB's are cooked, they have no serious RB, and everyone seems to have figured out how to beat them. definitely gonna be pep's last year.
