I agree with you every sacking has been justified, but not a single manager was set up for long term success.

    I want:
a manager to be backed financially
a structure in place that will allow him to spend those finances in a manner that makes sense for the long term success of the squad/club (DoF)

    Both are possible

It should not take a decade after SAF to appoint a director of football if you’re the largest club in the world.

    Who appointed Ed Woodward?

Who gave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that three year contract?

re:LVG vs Mourinho is the great example of the Glazers ineptitude. Two vastly ends of the spectrum in how they manage, and develop players which you pointed out.

I completely agree in regards to the Galticos thing though, under Sir Alex the ethos was much more about building up young players, while consistently adding competition to the players who were at their peak/prime in the squad. I hope we return to that

Football should be a priority of the Glazers, they own the biggest football club in the world.

The Glazer’s have not spent their money on the club

    They’ve spent the club’s revenue

The Glazer's have taken 1.1b out in dividends

That's a rudimentary understanding of the financial situation.

There's no benefit to me and you discussing the nitty-gritty of it. It's too complex and nuanced. We have incomplete information and no insight into the brains of the Glazers.

What I do know is that LBO's and businesses maintaining a debt ratio is not uncommon nor necessarily a negative. I know dividends were still a thing back when we were a PLC. I know that if we look back to the nature of the Glazers takeover it was necessary - without it Sir Alex would have been gone. We had f*** all alternative unless you wanted Rupert Murdoch. And in all of this time not a single attractive buyout consortium has emerged - the Red Knight's proposition was wank.

The Glazers are businessmen. That's just the reality of it. And if you want United to compete with the best of them, well your only options for owners are gonna be businessmen who's priority isn't exactly football.

Man Utd is self-sustaining. That's pretty rare at this echelon. Our revenue is this significant thanks to shrewd commercial decisions. We're not reliant on cash injections or government aid. We're not a front for sports washing or beholden to owners who sack managers and sell players at their whim. We're very healthy financially and pretty f***ing ethically healthy compared to the competition.

Every single manager has been backed. Being backed does not mean the equivalent of Fifa Career Mode. Our expenditure is up there with anyone. Our wage bill soared post-Sir Alex because the Glazers didn't stand in the way of all these s*** managers making short-sighted signings on bloated wages.

We lost a manager who was just a behemoth that took it upon himself to understand every facet of the club. We gave the same autocracy to the managers that followed in good faith but it's backfired. We've realised that clearly and we've already made moves to remedy that.

And seriously, how can you of all people say "who gave Ole that 3 year contract?". Just ridiculous.

I will continue to support Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and defend him as the right man for the job regardless of the result tomorrow.

Silverware is great and honesty should be the ambition of every club/player/manager but ultimately it’s the Europa League and I just don’t care.

I'm okay with a few season without trophies as long as it's building towards something, which it obviously is.

    Big picture lads

I can't believe Scholes, GNev, Fergie etc are still allowed to have access to the innerworkings of the club. That's one of the first things I address if I'm Ten Hag

I'm not sure I would categorise talking to Jesse Lingard as 'access to the innerworkings of the club'

If they're discussing the dressing room, it is. Members of the media shouldn't be privy to that information

    Eh, molehill imo.

Not exactly a surprise to anyone that the dressing room atmosphere is s***.

Scholes is obviously in the wrong for namedropping Lingard. But good luck policing former teammates chatting to one another, media or not. These are humans; people talk about their work and colleagues.

Naturally you don't want names attached to statements - but its hardly sensitive information, nor does Scholes seem to be doing this every week.

No thanks don’t need another ex player using the club for his own self interest. Need people like Paul Mitchell who have actually done it
