I hate when you tell Mario to jump in 64 and the platforming levels of Sunshine and he doesn’t jump and then you fall to your death
Wonderful eating inputs in your games Nintendo
Just wonderful.
Progress after day 4 of Sunshine: 100 Shines
Day 1: 36 Shines
Day 2: 39 New Shines
Day 3: 18 New Shines
Day 4: 07 New Shines
I did not play as much today and did my missing blue coin farming so less Stars because time was spent on that.
Blue coins:
Delfino Plaza- 18/20
Sirena Beach- 14/30
Final Level- 0/10
So close to the end!
So close to 120 shines, I just need the first secret shine in Sirena Beach and then I get the last two Delfino Plaza blue coins and the 2 Delfino Airstrip stars and ill be at 1 which will put me at 112 then I do the last bonus shines in Delfino.
But this first secret star in Sirena is giving me issues :(
How do you do this without running out of time?
I feel like I’m having a flawless run outside of coin 4 but I always run out of time
Edit: wait, I just thought of an idea
I ended the level with 7 stars not realizing my new time saver skipped a coin I used to get. Wow
Finally
Every star done in the 7 main worlds
Edit: That is a lie, I forgot that I have to go back and do Balloon level
For everyone that’s 100%’d 64 in 3D Allstars, how long did it take y’all to beat it?
I have 81 stars and according to the Parental Controls app, my playtime is about 22 hours
When you have 7/8 coins on Pinball and die
Hate this level man
I always go bottom right first cause it’s the most difficult to me
I always go bottom right first cause it’s the most difficult to me
I just beat it next try after I posted that
Was a lot easier than last time I tried to 100% Sunshine.
3 shines left, 2 in the final level and Lily Pad
I got 7/8 on first float down in lily pad.
I’ll be so mad if I die walking the side back.
Edit: I missed the coin the next time down as well nooooooo
Time to crawl again
Edit 2: I missed the last coin yet again, hate my life
Edit 3: I missed the last coin yet again on the 4th float down. Nintendo was on crack when they made this level.
I got all 8 coins and accidentally switched to Hover nozzle and died before I got the shine
Fck Nintendo
Next attempt: 6/8 coins first float through
And of course I actually fall off the edge for the first time ever.
Next attempt: 7/8 coins first float though, missing the same coin that I missed last time I got 7/8
Thank you Nintendo for re-releasing Super Mario Sunshine, my favorite Nintendo game, for the first time ever. I remember 7 years ago I used to post pictures on Facebook of mock WiiU box art of Super Mario Sunshine 2 and Super Mario Sunshine HD in hopes that one or the other would eventually come true. I did not even own a WiiU but I told myself that Sunshine would be the one game that would make me instantly purchase a WiiU. In 2017 when Super Mario Odyssey came out, the game felt like a spiritual successor to Sunshine and it was my favorite Mario since Sunshine but it still wasn’t the same. It wasn’t the amazing Fludd mechanic I had hoped for in a Sunshine style Mario game. To this day Fludd is my favorite mechanic in any videogame ever. Then it finally happened Super Mario 3D All-Stars for the Nintendo Switch which included Super Mario Sunshine HD.
As a kid I had owned games before Sunshine but I fully believe it was Sunshine that made me a full on gamer. I was always in awe of Sunshine and how well the world design was and how unique the gameplay mechanics were. Super Mario Sunshine is a top 5 game ever made to me and it is not nostalgia talking. I replayed the original gamecube version in college just 4 years ago to do a Sunshine 100% playthrough and I replayed it using the Switch version just now to do a 100% playthrough so I know that it isn’t nostalgia talking. I truly thank Nintendo for releasing this collection and After 80 hours of gameplay I have now 100% Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine. 64 took a long time because it was very hard and my first 100% playthrough of the game. Sunshine was a game I was super familiar with and I was able to beat most levels fairly easy but some of those levels can be brutal.
I plan to start Super Mario Galaxy on Saturday. It is the last game of the collection and I plan to just do a standard minimal playthrough instead of going for 100% as the Galaxy games never impressed me as much as the other Mario games. I’m sure I’ll still have fun regardless.
Super Mario 35 out now
Got 113 stars in 64
All I need are the 7 stars in Tick Tock Clock and beat Bowser and I will have beaten SM64 for the first time
