It was how I fixed my credit ages ago, now I have a better card through Amazon which might be a much better idea - it's technically a store card so the minimum requirements are barely anything and it comes with a $250 gift card + great cash back options

I had terrible credit from a family member burning the f*** out of me but now have near perfect credit years later after getting a series of cards to correct it, and never missing a bill ever

but I love my amazon card. minimum 5% back buying through amazon, but it can go up to 12% for different reasons. Its lower for other things but I just charge everything from bills to gas to groceries on it and pay it off in full every friday. Use the cashback to buy amazon stuff, or help pay off the card balance itself

there might be even better options if you have fine credit too. I started with capital one because they will basically approve anyone, and they arent the sketchy store cards. really those cards are fine if you just always pay it off imo
