I read the whole developer interview and I am so god damn excited. Its unreal. It seems like the world will be pretty crafted. They talked a lot about it feeling lived in.

They basically had the idea of a world map from the very start. They figured 8 was the formula perfected so they needed to do more in their eyes.
The power needed for their scope was also interested to read. This game could not run at 60fps on Switch if they wanted to include everything they wanted to include.
They really emphasized maintaining 60fps.
