my point is that drake fans shouldn't f*** with drake if they really believe that people don't change and shouldn't be given 2nd chances

I would care more about this if Drake was a friend of mine.

I don't know him. I don't have to forgive him as a person. I don't know him beyond the slaps he provides so..

    Was Mark 17?

    Was Mark a kid?

    Pls answer

yes, actually. he was 17 for one incident (assaulting a Vietnamese guy). 15 for another (calling someone the n word and chasing them with a group of friends)

when he broke his neighbor's jaw, he had just turned 21

if we judge everyone of every color based on the worst thing they've done in their entire, especially in their youth, then I'm sure black people would somehow be better off for it. sure, history tells us that every time America falls more in love with punishment, black people pay the highest price. But this time will be different for sure...

  • Mark once stole my tuna sandwich out the back of the fridge.

I had my name on it in big letters and he still ate it…

Everybody makes mistakes in their youth, my guy. Whether it be flat out ignorance or just being an enraged, stupid kid.

Exactly. Digging up someone's past is stupid especially if they've already learned their lesson and moved on

If I was in my teens, I probably wouldn’t have even thought of giving anybody a second chance. Based on my experiences, can’t go through life doing that.

I’ve seen people change, myself and I’ve heard of some people change too. Some people won’t change but if you don’t try and help them then we’re f***ed.

In June 1986, then-15-year-old Wahlberg and three friends chased after three black children while yelling "Kill the , kill the " and throwing rocks at them.80 The next day, Wahlberg and others followed a group of mostly black fourth graders (including one of the victims from the previous day) taking a field trip on a beach, yelled racial epithets at them, threw rocks at them, and "summoned other white males who joined" in the harassment.81 In August 1986, civil action was filed against Wahlberg for violating the civil rights of his victims, and the case was settled the next month.8284

Another racially-charged incident occurred in April 1988. The then-17-year-old Wahlberg assaulted a middle-aged Vietnamese-American man on the street, calling him a "Vietnam f***ing s***" and knocking him unconscious with a large wooden stick. Wahlberg attacked a second Vietnamese-American man later the same day, punching him in the eye.

Like if other celebrities haven't done worst. As soon as he's learned from this and changed his ways, then this is pointless bringing up

Just pretty scary how people don’t think people can admit they’ve done wrong and learn. I guess some people don’t grow themselves.

they are children lol. the idea that people don't grow or change is completely antithetical to everything we know about people. Malcolm X at 18 wasn't Malcolm X at 40

and these are the same people who are adamant about criminal justice reform and reducing sentences and saying there should be laws against potential employers asking about your criminal background

lol can people change or not?

true. it's probably just projection. people who haven't changed since they were kids naturally believe the same is true of everyone else

I think some people have traumatic experiences and they won’t change their opinions/views. But I’ve had my own experiences so I’ll be able to differ with them. To say people “can’t” change is wrong.

honestly maybe some people just knew some racist piece of s*** growing up in school and either that person is still racist so they're mad, or that person became really successful and they're mad. like everyone changes. to pretend otherwise is just strange

Imagine if we all held every person to that same standard. This planet would be absolutely f***ed. People’s backgrounds shape their worldview and how they interact with people, that doesn’t mean it can’t change later on.

Thing is, Mark wasn’t even 20. He was 15+17. To assume he needed to have his ducks in a row at that age is a joke.

You’re mad impressionable in your teens and early 20s, there will be lots of s*** that will mold you as you live.

Exactly. It's detrimental to your growth as an intelligent human being to not believe people can change. Smh.
