on the one hand, I've seen personally how the idea that people can't change helps to make sure that criminals can't get good jobs and can't successfully re-enter society. but on the other hand, a bunch of 12 year olds on a drake message board said that people in fact cannot change and that we should always judge people by the worst thing they've ever done, even if they were 15 or 17 when they did it. so I'm sold. you guys did it. you fixed society. no one should ever be forgiven for anything

actually in all seriousness, I am obsessed with this bc I've seen whole lives get ruined behind attitudes like yours. and it's always a nigga's life ruined. 8 or 9 times out of 10, the white guy can land on his feet and has favors or a rich relative to call on. the folks who foot the bill for the "people can't change" narrative is always a nigga who looks like me so yes I'm obsessed. I pray you or no one you love ever makes a mistake or gets accused of making a mistake
