thats what im saying, the joker been in like 6 other movies and martin was a part of the pre production atleast (i think he backed out right before production started) so he literally knows this iteration of the joker in this movie, he doesnt even watch his own movies hes done with them.

what i mean is, that i don't think Marty is gonna get what he seeks from a film in most Comic Book movies. There is nothing wrong about liking them, but at the end of the day they are very similiar. And with Joker, yea its different, but it's heavily inspired by Taxi Driver and King of Comedy, two movies that he made himself. Didnt meant to sound so pretentious lol
