This seems super sudden and last minute..

My only guess is that they are wanting to add RDJ Doom in to the movie somehow, maybe as the last scene or an after credits scene .

They are filming Doomsday right now, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they need to make some tweaks to this film so it can smoothly transition in to Doomsday.
