Guy who only watches superhero movies

Fr cause there was always something going on and each interaction legit mattered in terms of character motivations and connectivity

So when things got real it felt earned because we saw snippets of these characters being who they always were

I'm so glad they spent a big part of the first half of this film setting up the dynamics of the characters. That made the conflict more engaging for me. I actually bought the idea of them as a family which I can't say for Thunderbolt — everything about it felt forced.

I mean Thunderbolts were indeed forced to come together

No i really hated it tbh — cringe Marvel humor, paper thin plot and I did not find any of the characters and their interactions compelling.

FF is the exact opposite of that — firstly they got core dynamics of the main 4 characters right. I actually cared for them and bought the idea of them being a family. The rest fell into place.

I was on the fence about Pedro but he nailed it. And thankfully this movie had no cringe Marvel humor. It's funny but in a very restrained way.

Also in many ways Venessa Kirby really carries this film. Her performance was probably the best.

This has me excited for the movie

    WAITING ON SILENT

Marvel is 2/2 on movies this year. the retro futuristic vibes were off the charts and the visuals were some of my favorites of any film this year. acting across the board was extremely solid, with Vanessa Kirby and Ebon Moss-Bachrach being my standouts. I also really enjoyed the villain performances as well. Galactus shook the entire IMAX theater with his voice whenever he spoke. additionally, Michael Giacchino’s score was perfection and really cemented it as an all timer Marvel soundtrack. overall, this was a very pleasant time in the theater and I pray that Doomsday lives up to the hype next year.

    8/10

lol they dropped 3 movies this year

Mannnn, after sleeping on this some more, we were SO close to a masterpiece

    Pisses me off tbh

One of the big complaints of post-Endgame MCU was the lack of familiar faces.
No RDJ, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, or Mark Ruffalo

Marvel knew they needed to bring in some big names again to bring people back to theaters

I think it's less about the actors and more about the characters. Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, and the Hulk. Those are some of Marvel's most iconic superheros. People just want more heroes to care about in the MCU now that a lot of the ones we really care about are aging out. like respectfully, this doesn't excite people for the future of the MCU:

introducing the X-men and Fantastic Four is the way to revitalize things though

I think its fair to say that the general public did not know or at least care about Iron Man or Black Widow before RDJ and/or Scarlett Johansson's portrayals in these movies.

RDJ became a household star while in this role
