Not really sure how I feel about the movie. Amazing visuals, but the story felt hollow? Not sure how to properly explain. I want to watch it again cause maybe I was missing something but it definitely did not scratch that itch I was hoping for.
Wonder why they didn’t do a practical set for Galactus? Have him in a practical suit and create a set that’s scaled down? He looked like a PS3 character.
really wish they had more stuff from like the beginning and didn’t just do a montage
actually just wish it was longer maybe two and half hours
It’s kind of crazy how the biggest thing this movie suffers from is people wanting it to be longer . Fantastic
Sitting on this more and damn this ruled . The fantastic four fan in me is incredibly happy
Seeing this in a couple hours. Based on reactions I’m not expecting to be mind blown, but I do think I’ll end up really liking this

doing worse than superman in china
i didn't think that was possible
Cape s*** is done
Just got out. Really pleased with this as a big F4 fan. Finally got a great adaption
Definitely could’ve been longer to draw out the fear of Galactus coming and given us more team interactions. I had some other nitpicks I’ll expand on in the spoiler thread but overall it was really good.
I need to sit with it more before I know if I’m ranking it above Thunderbolts as far as 2025 CBMs
That 3rd act was something I didn’t think we’d ever get in a live action adaptation. Where they even go after Galactus?
2 different approaches. 2007 was a more polished metal and now she has this tempered sheen. I agree I like the polished style better but I really liked the new design, and I’m not huge on Julie but she smoked the role. The crying moment would’ve totally fell flat had it not been a woman
I also think the gender switch worked because Johnny essentially got Alicia Masters role from the comics of convincing SS to switch sides. It’s better to give that role to someone on the team than to try to squeeze Alicia into the movie or expand Natasha Lyonne role if she’s supposed to be the new Alicia
Meh, it certainly felt like a comic book but unfortunately the ones I didnt care to read. F4 was never for me but this felt true to that fwiw
I will say, the CGI in this was absolutely incredible. There was like one moment I thought looked TERRIBLE lol. But other then that, it was flawless
When silver surfer dipped after speaking w Johnny ?
Dunno how I feel about this, defo needs a rewatch but looks like they cut a LOT of scenes out

It definitely went by quick, sign of a great movie
This was good I enjoyed it, nice and simple the cast did great and a nice introduction movie for them
Some the CGI was noticeable but Galactus looked insane lol was cool seeing him
that mid credit scene had me hyped tho ngl

Need the extendo cut

That and Ben talking to Natasha outside were two of the most jarring
Which is confusing cause how are the scenes of characters just talking look the least finished while the space sequence was flawless. My only guess is that they were filmed later into production and got less time to finish
The real conversation people need to start having about Pedro Pascal is not the amount of movies he’s in, but the range of roles he’s able to play
So far this year I’ve seen him in F4, Materialists, Last Of Us, and Freaky Tales. Regardless if you felt he was the best fit in everything he’s been in, the two roles that have the most overlap are his characters in Last Of Us and Freaky Tales while the others are distinctively different
First half was genuinely dope, second half was mid and lost me
as soon as sue is somehow able to talk no justu the whole world with that speech specifically
Also Is anyone else a lil uncomfortable with how universally idolized the F4 are in this universe. Like it felt fake and I get this is a different universe but I’m just not a fan of how idealized it is I guess.

F4 being idolized is part of the lore. They’ve always had this celebrity like relationship with the rest of the world. In the comics, Reed does this because he blames himself for Ben never being able to have a normal life so he hopes making them celebrities will help make up for that
None of that mean you have to like it but it is a big part of the Fantastic Four brand in general
Preparing myself for a B+.cinemascore since the audience is at 91%, Superman and Thunderbolts started 95+ and only got A-'s
