I think it's a mix of both, which is why a lot of the films have personally aged poorly to me. I agree a bit with this though, outside of the "bitchy" part. Captain Marvel was just an ass film.

This is a dumb post because we’ve only gotten Far From Home and two shows after Endgame (one that hasn’t even wrapped yet). Your “quantity” argument makes no sense.

Captain Marvel both the movie and character are asscheeks. I don't know how it got good reviews.

this will end up being good. this will end up being some ppls favorite martial arts movie. i can definitely see that.
having said that, i cant help but see every other martial arts movie inside of this one. it just looks like a rehash to me.
yes yes i know "hey rooster, its a good thing that future martial arts movies can be inspired from the iterations past. this is a good and necessary thing"
sure. but it just feels.....hollow. and i know for SURE they will mild it down for general audiences and..again...thats fine and expected. im sure im gonna like it. but right now? it looks ...or rather feels like so many other colorful martial arts movies blended in with americanized martial arts movies that rely heavy on comedy
