If you truly believe the MCU is incapable of making something new or something that takes risks in its storytelling or style or aesthetic or something, then I would warrant there is zero reason for the MCU to exist beyond just brand manipulation at this point
The DCEU constantly takes risks and sure some don’t pan out at all, but BvS, Joker, The Batman, the Gunn Suicide Squad, ZS JL are all doing unique and distinct things whether or not it’s good. Every MCU movie/show just looks like the same s***.

It is shot like any other MCU film. If you took all the title cards away I could still tell it’s an MCU film. I guess that’s a good thing for the MCU but it leaves the film with little identity. I have nothing to say about the story or characters because the film hasn’t dropped. All I want is for these films to start standing out for the post-snap MCU. Not sure why this is a such an unpopular opinion lmao

I never said they were. It all depends on what you define as “risk” because I would argue that Wandavision was unlike anything they’ve done before, Falcon has taken them into places dramatically they haven’t previously gone, Loki looks to be one of the best things they’ve ever done period, not to mention Multiverse Of Madness, Eternals, etc...All these are tinkering into territories both stylistically and thematically they haven’t previously gone. Let not be naive, it’s all branding. everyone has a bottom line even A24 but Marvel has already shown their willingness to veer a little left of what they’re known for and all signs point towards that continuing on for the foreseeable future
