Because instead of seeking out and celebrating that “fresh” content (minari, CRA, Farewell, etc...) you’re sitting here doing the equivalent of yelling at a tiger for not changing its stripes. I’m sick of this damned if you do, damned if you don’t era of sensitivity. First there wasn’t enough representation, now it’s too on the nose or it’s not “fresh” enough
what the f*** is marvel suppose to do here? Simply not make the project at all? Make a project featuring Asian Americans living out their lives going through the trials and tribulations of the human condition that has absolutely nothing to do with the MCU? Guess what...there’s actually a film for that lmao It’s like niggas complaining about Pusha T for only rapping about crack like he’s their only source of musical consumption or something. There’s Asian American actors, directors, writers, artist all changing the guard on that front and injecting much needed fresh perspectives in Hollywood. Watch their films, support their work, repost it, blog about it, contribute if you are so inclined and have a story to tell but to come in and complain about a film, based on a comic book for being anything other than it was made to be is absolutely frivolous to me.
