Never played Spiderman before & my girl got me this as a present, how are y’all liking it? Is it easy to pick up?

gameplay wise this is an absolute dream, lots to do and controls perfectly, graphics and performance are stunning and show what current gen can really do

story and writing are a bit more mixed from more hardcore fans but general audiences enjoyed it

Parrying is the stupidest f***ing mechanic of this entire game and ruins fights with brutes and bosses

Just turn the parry time window up

I was in the same boat as you and that made the game 10x better

Finally finished spider man remastered. Story mode was dope af and the last fight with Otto was 10/10. Gonna finish the dlc before I get started on miles morales

The swinging in the Miles Morales DLC is so much more fun

Also the snowy NY setting is really nice

the dlc storyline for the first game is kinda dull and bland but there’s good talk between pete and miles

The City that never Sleeps Heist DLC was good.

I don’t mind it as a mechanic but the color scheme is weird is f***

Red means parry and blue means dodge/unblockable lol wtf that’s counter intuitive as f***

GOW Ragnarok does it way better, red means unblockable/unparryable, blue rings means unblockable but parryable, yellow means parryable and blockable (with stun)

Wolverine will save spidey somehow in the third game and then dip I’m calling it now

My hype was unreal for this game and my play through was awesome but ever since i platinumed it then played through from scratch a second time I haven’t really felt compelled to come back to it

It’s an excellent game but the lack of open world content to do after the story is a glaring flaw. Also the city feels lifeless when you beat the game. Doesn’t look lifeless but it def feels that way. There should be more enterable buildings and we should be able to explore NYC as civilian Pete/miles on bike whenever we want and actually interact with the city. SM2s city is big and beautiful but it’s really just a bunch of blocks for show. We can’t even go to aunt may or rios crib whenever we want which is kinda wild.

Also the fact that the symbiotes, the hunters, and the flame are still running around reeking havoc makes no sense from a story perspective so it makes fighting them over and over again seem silly

This game needs NG+ and DLC bad

game is sorely missing time / combat trials for Peter at least especially with how much they upgraded both of those

Should be able to race the other Spider-Man around the city

Its absolutely insane the only two challenges in the game that require the web wings are the vulture bots sidequest and the f***ing Financial to Astoria trophy
