I think it was! In the leaks at least. not publicly so there is a chance it was scrapped in lieu of putting all the resources into other stuff but people are taking them replying to one guy asking for DLC news saying ‘we have nothing to announce’ as they’ve scrapped it all. To me it just seems like they just aren’t ready to announce it yet

I mean, there’s literally a cliff hanger with Carnage that’s so apparent that I can’t imagine it not being addressed in a DLC as opposed to a 4-5 year wait for the sequel.

Right! I can’t see them carrying any of the symbiote stuff into 3, carrying carnage’s story all the way there seems way less likely then them finishing it in the dlc

They just said here's more spiderman. Yes it sold, yes it won't be hated.

But they could've done much more.

just thought about this game's writing again and got pissed off, 1's story wasn't a masterpiece but at least it had great character moments and an actual emotional ending with real consequence. Meanwhile 2's dialogue sounds like the way I talk to my 60 y/o coworkers while my boss is present
