It woulda been so easy to like make miles get the symbiote oooooorrrrr do anything in the plot really.
All that mr. negative s*** was great but since it was 2 hours total of a 30 hour game you kinda forget about it.
Instead they have you dropping the beat at mysterios stupid vr ride in coney island
Game low-key feels like an anime with a lot of filler episodes As I mentioned I haven't gotten too far yet but that's my first impression (funny you mentioned dropping beats at the VR ride cus that's the part I just finished).
I feel like Spider-Man: Miles Morales was the most straight forward game out of the 3 with less amounts of filler and fluff.
First game was great as well but it had too many MJ stealth sections and too many chemistry puzzles. Those things would've been ok if they didn't keep overstaying their welcome and eventually becoming a chore you just wanted to get through so you could start swinging webs and whooping enemies again.
Glad to see that the MJ stealth sections in this game are much more enjoyable. It's quicker and she's got more power/tools to get the job done. In the first game it was too slow and she was too weak and exposed so it felt boring.

Aight so I just beat the game now and I gotta say, besides some of the initial walking and talking and some boring side-missions (and chemistry puzzles that you can luckily choose to skip), the gameplay and graphics were great. I especially liked the latter half of the game and the boss fights, and to my surprise the MJ stealth sections were actually kinda fun in this one. Gave me a lil' TLOU vibe.

Since you've played em all now how would you rank them?

Ouf, that's gonna be hard but I will try to at least break down my impressions a bit.
I played all three of the games back to back this month with no breaks in-between so they kind of merged into one giant game in my head, and since the base gameplay feel (swinging and fighting) is mostly the same in all of them I'll just try to post some of the positives and negatives of each game as I remember them.
Spider-Man Remastered:
Highs
Lows
Conclusion: Spider-Man remastered is a great game overall that would benefit by cutting down on some parts that overstay their welcome.
Spider-Man Miles Morales:
Highs
Lows
Conclusion: Spider-Man Miles Morales cuts down on forced, boring parts and lets you enjoy the great gameplay without too many distractions. The shortest but most straightforward and consistent game out of the three.
Spider-Man 2:
Highs
Lows
Conclusion: This game has the best gameplay and graphics out of the three, but it also has the most boring/forced walk & talk sections and side-quests. Due to the slow, boring parts in the initial stages of the game I was a bit worried that it wouldn't keep me interested in playing, but after sticking through those parts, the game soared - especially in the latter half when the Lizard and Symbiote are introduced.
Final verdict: I would almost have to replay them all to be able to rank them cus they've kinda merged into one big game for me. They all have their highs and lows but they are all without a doubt great games.
Don’t you love when halfway through the sequel, you haven’t unlocked half the traversal options from the DLC? (This is why I waited to rent this game; I enjoy the combat and the spectacle but they’re riddled with all the AAA bullshit possible: you need to unlock everything for two characters now, most of it stuff you already had, and in order to unlock that you need to do repetitive or boring stuff. Wonderful.)
