s*** was ass btw i take it all back

took me two months to beat it because of how boring it was

i really didnt like how they handled the two spidermans. made the story feel fragmented instead of how fluid it was in the first one

    Lmfao the switch up

Yea this game was mega ass. In top 3 biggest gaming disappointments ever for me. I don’t know how they managed to fumble a game with venom and kraven so hard. I have so little confidence in insomniac after this trashterpiece

i was still hyped the first few hours cause it’s a new game and all, but once that “honeymoon“ phase was over i realized how trash this was. unbelievable how bad they fumbled. i legit can’t think of a single moment that made me think this a good game. and i copped it for half price, too. if i paid full price for this i‘d be fuming

Bought it day 1 and even called out of work to play it. Buyers remorse set in about 4-5 hours in. I was hoping it was just a rough patch but things just kept getting worse until the credits rolled. The whole rushed venom act was an abomination. Forced walking sections were awful. HR-approved dialogue and stupid writing made for a painful playthrough as well. Swinging was good though lol.

I deleted it the second I finished the game. Never gonna replay it again, and I replayed the first game like 4 times lmao

Better than sm1 and miles morales to me, the lack of post game in all 3 games is what kills the replay value

    It was fr that bad?

Gameplay and graphics wise, it’s pretty good.

One of the major problems is that this game loves to constantly rip you away from this great gameplay to force feed you liquid dogshit writing and story through forced walking/talking sections. And it’s BAD writing. Theres a million s*** writing moments throughout this game. Like immersion breaking s*** writing. Anybody telling you otherwise is being disingenuous.

If you’re a casual player who doesn’t care that much about Spider-Man and just wants to swing around, you’ll find some fun here. If you actually want a compelling Spider-Man story that’s faithful to the mythos and its characters, you’re going to have a frustrating time getting through this.

Beat Spider-Man Remastered three days ago and I just finished Miles Morales. Really enjoyed the gameplay, the graphics and just swinging around the city. Downloading Spider-Man 2 as we speak and I'm just wondering if there's gonna be "Mary Jane stealth sections" and those chemistry puzzles from the first game Cus I kinda hope not. As much as I enjoyed the first game, there were too many MJ stealth sections and chemistry puzzles (although some of the chemistry puzzles were optional for bonus XP).

The fact that they let you just skip the chemistry puzzle s*** shows they themselves didn't have much faith in it Game has a lot of filler they just threw in there to extend it

There's still MJ stealth missions, but they just made her overpowered to compensate. Still not that fun

There’s just as many mj missions, but they made them slightly more bearable (at the detriment of making sense within the lore of course)

Me seeing venom finally show up when there's only like 3-4 missions left

Not at all. It’s more so Spider-Man fans going through their version of what Batman fans went through with Arkham Knight

I haven't gotten too far into the game but I can already say that this feels very accurate so far I like the graphics and gameplay, but I don't like them cutting off the fun with frequent boring walk & talk sections where you interact with random uninteresting objects and do random chores to proceed.

  • they jumping him n i get it but i’m ngl a bit when i read this i kinda thought of this game as much as i liked it

i found all the miles side missions to be generally racist, and the peter stuff was compelling till the last 3rd.

Its so hard because they make you play as 2 spider-man and one has the entire plot revolving around him while the other is really worried about their college admissions essay

It woulda been so easy to like make miles get the symbiote oooooorrrrr do anything in the plot really.

All that mr. negative s*** was great but since it was 2 hours total of a 30 hour game you kinda forget about it.

Instead they have you dropping the beat at mysterios stupid vr ride in coney island

I'm fine with a couple but holy s*** they get so painful after a while.

Also all the weird 2010 indie music that plays while harry and peter are in highschool jfc
