Stop using game length to determine value of a game lol
Ofc it does not solely and entirely value a game - but it is a part of it and especially in story driven games.
I can’t wait to see the gameplay for Wolverine man . I love that Insomniac is creating its own Marvel Universe
I wonder if they will put Wolverine easter eggs in this game

Can't relate. Uncharted 2 was like 14 hours long.
Reviewers aint care it was a Bethesda title when they reviewed it though lol
Yeah, but it’s still one of the biggest titles of the year.
Though if Alan Wake 2 comes with the heat (don’t think Mario Wonder would ever get nominated since its 2D) it’ll be a struggle to justify getting it in when you got:
RE4 Remake
Baldur’s Gate 3
Street Fighter 6
Diablo IV (think it’ll probably still get a nom)
Zelda: TOTK
Spider-Man 2
Cocoon (gotta have an indie title in there)
FF XVI (will probably be in there)
Alan Wake 2 (if it delivers)
Armored Core 6 (???)
Hi-Fi: Rush (technically the best received Xbox exclusive of the year)
Unless they expand it specifically for this year and this year alone of course.
Insomniac really dropped SM1, SM: MM, R&C: RA and SM2 in 5 years.
That’s PS2 era levels of efficiency.

It being 2D doesn't matter lol. Mario Wonder is probably going to be nominated. Previews were glowing, people playing the leaked copy say it's incredible.
TOTK
RE4
Spidey 2
BG3
These are locks. There are two more spots. One will probably be Wonder. The other is either an indie title which they almost ALWAYS have or something like FFXVI/AW2/Hi Fi. If a game "being big" mattered then include Hogwarts as a lock.
Seeing some funny ass console war nonsense on Twitter already lol. Ponies galloping on there
Damn. Ponies got Spider-Man 2 and Bots got an acquisition trailer

That’s not a wild thing to do . Everyone has different preferences and length is reasonable for someone shelling out 70
Gamers win Friday
Spiderman 2
Mario wonder
More classics this year wow

I maintain that it is an unreasonable thing to do. Some of the best games of all time are 15-20 hours long.

That’s good for you but you really don’t see how someone else might value that ?
Like this game is already pre ordered for me but acting like this is a wild concept is interesting

Yes, I think using length of a game as a value proposition (barring, say, extreme outliers like 30 minute long games) is dumb. Imagine if you did this for other art forms. "$15 for this movie ticket? But it's only 90 minutes, what the f***? I need AT LEAST 3 hours for a $15 ticket!"
So it seems like the story will be phenomenal, but the side activities around the city will be repetitive again
I like Spideys repetitive side quests

Games are traditionally active experiences that have shown to last years for many of us. Some people are good with replaying the same game 3 times in a month for $70 . Some people would rather wait for a sale since they enjoy better/longer pacing for games they shell $70 for .
The movie comparison doesn’t add up
But you don’t understand that at all so we won’t agree but i just had to say my perspective

Why does the movie comp not add up? Because it isn't interactive? So lol?
Kinda annoyed at the short main story (+ - 18 hrs ) and reading that the side quests are repetitive.
Compare that to Ragnarok - main and side stories combined- its 40 hours. Now that's value for 70 bucks.
Whats the value of RDR2
