Why does the movie comp not add up? Because it isn't interactive? So lol?
Movies are traditionally around an hour and a half and 3 hours . This is for like 96% of movies if not more
Games can literally range from an hour to 100+ . There are enough longer games to fully justify someone having it as a point of emphasis with how they spend their money . Their is no way you can sit here and act like they are even comparable in terms of valuing length for a $70 purchase

The valuing of length is the core point, range of values is an unnecessary variable you've introduced lol. Anyone can "feel" however they want, it's their money. Doesn't stop me from thinking you're being dumb if you see a 15 hour game and think it isn't worth MSRP because it's "only" 15 hours. That's nonsensical.

Agree to disagree
Yeah kinda - was easy to breeze through.
Currently plowing through the Cyberpunk DLC* which is bigger than the entire Spider-man 2 game. For half the price.
Of course an RPG will have a bigger story than Spiderman, their story lengths are bigger than most games on the market. Not really fair to compare those games to most of the other genres on the market that are about 15-30 typically
seems like side content will still be the weak point of the game which kinda sucks that they didnt improve a lot on that part
Playing through the story should still be amazing, cant wait
Imagine not spending hours wing gliding and swinging before even touching any main or side missions
Side quests being repetitive is the only major thing i wanted them to improve but switching between Miles and Peter automatically makes it less repetitive anyway i guess

No that’s fair. Originally i compared it to Ragnarok which is way deeper and has orginal side quests. Around 40 hrs of fun
I’ll buy a 4 hour game for $60 as long as I really enjoy it and it’s of quality

Resident Evil 3 vibes

$70
$70
I’d still buy it
feel like game play through time only really matters if you’re really no lifeing that s*** or just wanna beat it asap
sometimes s*** do be too short but other times you can make it longer by just chilling

Ragnarok is an action RPG and like 5 hours of cutscenes with a dredging long drawn out mid game section
GOG also a pretty good marvel game was about 18 hours to beat, fun experience. Mario Odyssey gets called a classic and that takes 12 hours to beat.
Think the hard thing to do is not making the game feel drawn out and pacing makes it harder to turn it into a 30 hour game. Doesn't need to be one either still a good product.

My first play through of Mario odyssey was 40 hours 😭
