So I just recently got my first massage this year and LOVED it and have started getting them semi-regularly at different places just to see how they differ. Unfortunately I've been to one of "those" massage parlors that offered lousy massages but "other" services, that I politely decline and don't tip on my way out. I've had to do this twice and it is extremely uncomfortable to do so - and my most recent experience at a place makes me think they're all connected.

So I walk into this new place and fill out the paperwork as usual. Give them my name, and suddenly the reception ladies' smiles drop. They start speaking in their own language, tell me to hold on a moment, and it looks like they're reviewing some notes on a clipboard but I can't read it (the obvious assumption is it was my name which it probably was). One reception lady looks up at me and gives me the most cold, fake, bitter smile I've ever seen and apologizes, I pay for my massage, and go into the room.

The massage lady comes in and isn't conversational at all which I suppose is fine they're like that sometimes but her technique is really off. On some body parts there's barely any pressure and on others she's literally digging her fingernails into my skin and I tell her to adjust her hands 2 times. She stops doing it but starts doing this weird thing where she thumps different parts of my body with what I'm pretty sure is a closed fist (my face was down so I didn't see) and its a weird technique but it doesn't hurt and its more firm than what she was doing before so I just let her. By this point we're 40 minutes into my 60 minute session when and just waiting for it to be done since I paid for the time. Then she gets to my neck and thumps it twice like small jabs and then fcking DECKS IT LIKE A BOXER and I'm NOT KIDDING. She was a tiny lady so it didn't hurt that bad but obviously that was aside the point she punched the back of my damn neck fam. She gasps because she knew she did it too hard and I look up at her and just go "what the heck was that??" and she just walks out. Guy knocks on the door, I get dressed, step out, argument ensues, and I leave. That spot was sore for about 3 days.

This happened last weekend I haven't had time to share it. Idek if I'm even welcome to any massage place anymore unless I start giving a fake name. Honestly this whole situation is freaking surreal. I imagine this is what getting kicked out of the hood feels like
