Even the concept art of the fight done for the movie was WAAAY better than what we got. I don't mind Superman getting beat up. But make it good and make sense. Superman already got hit by kryptonite, sees this nigga reloading and runs straight at him anyway. For what?

BvS Superman was at full power at the start and wasn't even trying to talk to Batman. Why didn't he fly him up in the sky and say his peace and make Bruce listen? He got hit by kryptonite like 3 times and finally decides to kill Bruce when he's at like 10% while snyder himself admitted that its a dumb match up
Why write it because it's iconic? America loves an underdog story but I need some good writing.
