This is the least rewatchable Batman film including the bad ones. I still liked it though
Rewatched this with pops cause he ain't seen it at all
Overall very good movie
One scene I didn’t like on first watch and after a year or so I still don’t like is the Riddler singing scene
That felt a bit too over the top for a movie of this caliber
One of my favorite movies ever though so its cool
The Riddler interrogation Ave Maria scene, s*** was so unserious
Yep just said this
alfred should have died in this
it would have showed that nothing will be predictable in this world and there is real stakes
Imagine your f***ing DAD being the guy to make this movie. And your firs time seeing it is with him in a Dolby Cinema on BATMAN DAY?
Happy Batman Day
The landing might be my favorite shot of him in the flick. Hard
Rewatched this for the first time since seeing it in theaters
This honestly blows ass lmao the plot is beyond boring. Complete style over substance but not in a good way
Hopefully part 2 has a better story + villain

Came here to say that.
I tried to watch it again last night and fell asleep in the first 10 minutes.
I've said this before, but I feel like since Nolan's films, Batman has lost a lot of the fantastical elements that made him stand out.
Everything doesn't have to be "real". This is why Burtons films are still unmatched. He was able to take the dark elements and lend them with fantasy. The new films are tooooo based in reality.

i dont even have much of an issue with the overt realism, tho bringing back the fantastical elements would def make new iterations of batman more interesting. i just have an issue with how the second and third hours of this movie squander the first hour of setup for a very underwhelming climax and conclusion
like on the surface, this movie has a nice look and aesthetic, but the dialogue + actual detective work + riddlers overall character/plan are so plain and uninteresting that its actually kind of ridiculous this is as lauded as it is

Yeah those last 2 hours (especially the last flooding scene) were brutal.
Favorite part of this whole thing is Joker saying “have you read these files??” In a way being condescending towards Bruce, treating the situation like “you should know what’s going on… stop being stupid”
Shows how smart he is compared to the “greatest detective”
“This must be your favorite night of the year, huh pal?! Happy f***in Halloween”
