Secondly you probably know that afrobeats have always been a huuggee thing in Europe (mainly in UK and France) with artists never shying away from their roots. The idea that Drake somehow solidified afrobeats when they were actually well alive and moving huge units is kinda comical.
Controlla or any other song didn't do s*** but stay in Drake's circle I can't think of any other artist outside of Toronto (PND, Roy Woods...) who decided that they were going to follow that lane.

May 8, 2021Alot of faith in a Kendrick drop when slowly but surely his headlining festivals are being cancelled. He has 2 shows left that are still on but if they get cancelled soon then im not expecting an album until late this year/early 2022
