3 guys who been here since 2009 deciding the sound of the 20s? That’s an L
35 is the new 25 !!
Kendrick
Just say you hate Drake. How the hell did his last 3 albums sound the same lmao
And they definitely shifted music + started up new careers in music.
what is the difference between the three ....
35 is the new 25 !!
Lamar
AKA Benz is to me just a car
I mean what makes OP think kendrick is dropping soon
@Zaywop you finally got that Weezer feature?
😭😭😭😭 of course
what is the difference between the three ....
What's the same about the 3?
Go ahead and give me the lazy "he singing an rapping. There's simping" lmao.
You non black kids who only enjoy black music about black plight or s*** that fits your hipster aesthetic are interesting lol

i don’t care for whatever trauma p*** bullshit you think i listen to, i listen to what sounds good without some lame ass ulterior moral motive
drake has made cookie cutter low pass vocal sample filter views from my balcony high school athlete warmup music sprinkled in with trendy trap producers/features and the flavor of the week rnb sub genre complete with s***ty falsetto and PND ghostwriting every year since views
this is because he has no clear vision and wants to appease every end of his massive ass fanbase which is NOT the way culture in general is turning out to be as a whole. It is fragmenting in front of our very eyes into tons of tiny little different niches and subgenres which a single person cannot fathomly fill while still releasing quality
it’s not good and it’s boring as s***, don’t try and pin some race s*** on me to paint me into a corner just cuz i criticize a musician you d***ride.

Views, more life, and scorpion differ than his previous albums as he gotten bigger and has tried to appease more demographics with different sounds and style.
Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to u. Personally I think in terms of quality it's not the best thing as his albums lose focus and sound like he just threw whatever in there.
Adding on to that his production, lyricism, and even songwriting has been declining on the past 3 as well. He still has his moments tho
These are my predictions for Drake, and Cole when they drop
CLB is gonna be Drakes best album musically and it will have his best art direction.
Cole will drop a FHD level album with his most focused rapping
Wishful thinking tbh

LMAOOOO like I said just say you hate Drake instead of rambling this nonsense. Just squeezing in as much hate buzz words without saying anything. "Boring as s***" but the people love it and outside the s*** moves the people + inspires some of your favourite artists.
And notice how easy it was for me to spot you aren't black. There's a certain brand of Drake hater you can easily spot is some white nerd trying to seem deep musically while having the move basic taste Talking about "culture" loool

I think Views definitely has focus and More Life is the playlist it was always pitches as. It was never promoted to be consumed as an album with a single theme/ narrative. Although it flowed quite well imo
Scorpion critique I understand because although there was a lot of good / great songs it doesn't hold together as an album.
Y'all over exaggerate how much Drake goes outside his box because everything he makes I'm certain he has a passion for. He's just a very flexible artist which some people who just one thing don't like. He could be chasing Taylor Swift features or other traditional pop artists (Kendrick x Taylor, Kendrick Maroon 5 etc etc)/ EDM reaches. But he's always stayed in the landscape of dope black music and sounds that he enjoys.
Me if u can
Lets link up and throw them b****es
Winner gets 40 bucks
This fire.

i loved drake before he started making useless nonsense with like 1-2 gems an album after views i’m also not white and i don’t know why you’d both think i’d try to act black AND make it seem like you’re hella cool for noticing that i’m not something that i’m not
and i’m sorry i don’t like contrived bullshit and it suddenly makes me out as somebody who wants to “seem” deep and not somebody who just enjoys actually interesting music
im just gonna go ahead and block you since you’re gonna push more bullshit out into my attention span
yeah man i’m on a music forum discussing music every day of my life with people who know me personally at this point to “seem deep”
smoking crack

Funny thing about more life being a playlist is I think that's his best attempt at doing the cater everyone thing more so than the other 2 albums.
I dont mind drake going out his box, I actually champion it, but the problem comes when he goes out of the box in many different directions on the same project, sounds messy. Like I would want a full rnb album, a full pop album, a full uk inspired album and maybe a full dancehall/afrobeats album.
Not even to say he can't use more than one sound on a project, but I feel like he needs to do it to a lesser degree cause he loses cohesiveness. He had the right idea separating scorpion into a rap side and the other being rnb/melodic. But even then u still have some melodic songs on side a and some of rap type songs on sibe b

Scorpion, Views and More Life shifted music I've seen it all

Views most definitely did and was largely responsible for rappers now being comfortable with mixing of afrobeats etc with rap and popular music.
It’s impact becomes more evident every year as people reminisce over the “views summer”
While all the other s*** people tried to force as iconic barely gets discussed 💀

First of all mfer threw ML and Scorpion under the rug like I wouldn't notice it.
Secondly Drake was responsible for rappers being comfortable mixing afrobeats (tf do u even know what you're talking about u thought afrobeats was this huge word that could cover sounds from Jamaica to Senegal or what) just say that you don't care that much about music when it doesn't come for huge superstars and move on 'cause you're out here looking like a fool

You’re an idiot because I’m Nigerian and saw first hand the shift it triggered in the worldwide expansion of music and musician I loved
From D’Banj buzz circa 2007 I’ve been heavily invested in Afrobeats. From my uncles and aunties putting me on Fela and older Nigerian music
Also dancehall is like the biggest influential genre where I’m from. I just noticed the shift when Views dropped of people outside the bubble noticing the value and dopeness

Alright then how could u know about D'Banj success (also knowing that he was part of GOOD Music) and say that Drake someway somehow was the one who gave legitimacy to afrobeats.
Secondly you probably know that afrobeats have always been a huuggee thing in Europe (mainly in UK and France) with artists never shying away from their roots. The idea that Drake somehow solidified afrobeats when they were actually well alive and moving huge units is kinda comical.
Controlla or any other song didn't do s*** but stay in Drake's circle I can't think of any other artist outside of Toronto (PND, Roy Woods...) who decided that they were going to follow that lane.
