none of those three gonna push rap in a new direction

all three are too self invested and while their music will be good they will not have a lasting influence at this stage of their careers

it’s like saying jay z was influential with magna carta

    SHAQUILLE

These are my predictions for Drake, and Cole when they drop

CLB is gonna be Drakes best album musically and it will have his best art direction.

Cole will drop a FHD level album with his most focused rapping

    god i hope you’re right

Nah lol, like it or not it’s the young people setting the tone going forward and 2/3 of the releases you mentioned are going to cater to the current palate (even Kendrick likely will to some degree)

This is literally like saying KRS One, Rakim and Big Daddy Kane new releases in 2001 are gonna cause a shift. These guys are over a decade in and they’re gonna be great but it’s just victory laps from legacy acts at this point. You’re being delusional and believing what you wanna believe but deep down you know it ain’t true

We're finally expecting a release from Kendrick, Cole, and Drake coming so so soon. Either this month for K dot or June, OR Drake extremely soon.

This may be the true "future" of the 2020's defining sound for rap. We're pretty much at the point in time where the stuff from the late 2010's is not aging very well and the stuff that recycles the beats and instrumentals from it and also song styles have gone stale.

So let's prepare everyone we're finally gonna see a change

You literally copied my thread dumbass
