Idk what it is but nowadays it doesnt do as much for me at all

Started doing isha kriya recently with sadhguru - what a vibe. The three layer process really allows me to gradually take my mind and body out of the equation and I get incredible stillness at the end,
Plus my hands sometimes feel like theyre on fire with so much energy when I hold them together. Meditation is wild

i get super depressed and meditation makes me feel it all but thats like the point (not really, but its possible to meditate in any state of mind), s*** just focuses your attention.

What benefits yall be experiencing?
For me it improves attention, separates and improves my control of thoughts and my reactions to them, and simply helps me Through the day.
A big, practical thing i noticed is that after i meditate in the morning, the rest of the day goes by hella quick. And im more empathetic, and positive about what im feeling.
Yesterday for example, i was feeling really moved and emotionally stirred all day cause i been thinking about alot of things recently. If i wasnt meditating i wouldve probably gave into those feelings and wallowed in a depressive episode. but catching those thoughts as they come and letting them go with no judgement of my melancholy kept me present, sociable, and appreciative.
Can i meditate with my eyes open? ion like closing my eyes unless im sleepin cause it gives me headaches

Try not to be attached to the outcome of the meditation, end of the day it’s good and important that you’re doing it so keep it up! It’s a blessing that we’re able to take those 10-20+ minutes of time to ourselves every day
Yes you can meditate with eyes open. nothing like going on a trail doing walking meditation. Some of the most serene experiences ive ever had

Few years ago I use to go daily with meditating, every morning id meditate and then listen to a chapter of the Power of now. Getting back to that as I feel it’s important to shape your mornings properly rather than just grabbing your phone and jumping on social media.
