If youre not signed to a label youre an indie artist the idea that someone counts as signed because they had money to start with is insane.
The same way a film can get it's budget from investments or a fashion line and it still be indie you can be an artist and be indie with investment.
By y'all logic Jay Z wasn't indie because Biggs and Dame funded him with they own fortune.
Master P is considered one of the biggest indie artist ever and he got his money from his grandfather.
