the initial idea I think was that with everything going on with police vs. black folks this year, men specifically, she didn't want them to end up taking him out so she didn't say anything at first to try and protect him from that, but then his team started saying s*** like oh it was megs friend in the car too,

and people online were making jokes forever in her comments and saying she was lying for so long to the point where she literally posted pictures of her wound like... she shouldn't have 2 do that, she didn't have s*** to prove to everyone after having something traumatic like that happen to her in front of the whole world and then everyone starts making jokes or saying shes lying

Yeah i understand that and thats the reasoning i saw people using in the beginning to explain why he wasnt arrested, but hospitals are mandated reporters and must report gunshot wounds to the cops regardless of how meg felt

it's all about capitalizing, never about the music. nobody will be listening to her in a couple years unless she changer her subject matter and gets deeper/more introspective. and by the looks of her previous music it doesnt seem like she is capable of penning songs with substance, she is a just a product that will fade away very quickly, if you really want to support women listen to Rapsody, Mereba or NoName for example, they make music with message and a sound that will hold up with time
