It's not that odd tbh
People get drunk af, and then something insane happens like a shooting, or a car crash, and that adrenaline kind of 'snaps them out of it' so to speak so it's plausible that it happened the way she did
I don't understand why you're still protecting the guy who shot at you 5x in the hospital though. That's the inconsistency to me. You said you didn't trust the cops. But you also initially lied to the doctors when they initially inspected the wound.
