Tory isn’t doing as badly as I thought initially.
The only damning evidence is the single text msg from Kelsey to the security guard (his lawyers could cloud the jury enough on this piece).However, it does seem the police fumbled the investigation without properly investigating everyone involved as the witness support Tory’s defence of two women fighting.
I think three things will determine if Tory walks:
1. Meg on the stand tomorrow if she keeps her story consistent and handles the pressure from the defence - she will win.
2. Statements from the bodyguard. We still don’t know what he has said yet - if he confirms Tory’s story he wins.
3. A mistrial is possible if the investigation was fumbled as all evidence may not be presented and the jury can’t decide who did it. Both sides have a compelling case with Kelsey testifying.
