tbh, I don't know if Tory shot Meg or not, however the way that everything started coming together, it started to look like Tory was spinning a narrative about Meg and this is what probably rubbed the jury the wrong way.. from the text messages from Kelsey, witnesses placing the gun in Tory's hand (even the defense witness admitting the Tory shot the gun 4-5 times) the driver disappearing.. the witness tampering/bribery of Kelsey going on the stand basically saying anything.. her original testimony lining up closer to Meg's story.. Tory's silence throughout the entire trial.. If he was truly innocent and 'knew' Kelsey shot Meg.. the only thing that could save him is his own testimony! 22 years of his life was on the line..he had too much to lose
