Pop astrology really does a number on people's heads. Mercury stations retrograde at least three times a year, it is very much so USED to retrogradation. Mind you, retrograde is still an accidental debility, but Mercury handles it better than all the other 4 classical planets.

And especially this time around, it's not the hardest retrograde. Yeah, it's opposing Saturn but it's also aspecting Jupiter by trine. It's not the end of times...and unless Mercury is activated on your birth chart as a time lord, there's nothing to worry about, really.
