The ports on the other hand genuinely look worse than the originals if you compare them side by side, and digital foundry confirmed they run worse lmao. They removed anti-aliasing.

aside from this not really being necessary to begin with, aside from the lazy 1:1 recreations, aside from the poor frame rates shown in a gameplay trailer of a major “next gen” game, aside from reused voices from two decades ago for a modern game, this won’t even have half the charm or uniqueness as the original games because this wasn’t made by people who care about metal gear fans. This exists simply to make konami money, nothing more. They are phoning it in hard and yall are really in here eating it up. Sad!

The frame rate in a trailer has nothing to do with the frame rate modes available when you play, it’ll easily get 60fps it doesn’t look demanding at all, it’s small linear levels my guy. I’m surprised that isn’t obvious to you.

I used to feel this way but the fact is remasters are the most effective way to school the new kids on all the classics, imagine if all those dreamcast classics like SA1/2 and shenmue stayed locked away on obsolete hardware. The GBA mario ports made me a 2d mario fan, and sonic adventure DX and gems collection on gamecube made me a sonic fan. For a more recent example if it wasn't for the FF7 remake im not sure I ever would've played the original and I know thats not an uncommon situation.

You’re reaching calling some of these masterpieces, even games I love like BOTW and tlou2 aren’t by any means perfect games. Best game on this list is death stranding, tears was awful
