And coming up with lines and a personality for Samus would be a lot of work in itself so I get why they took the easy route (kinda similar to how coming up with a cohesive narrative for an adventure mode in Smash Ultimate would’ve been such a monumental task)

Metroid famously has epic, ongoing lore it's a big part of the series appeal

lore that barely any of the games bother to delve deep into in any of its narratives lol

They do but not from cutscenes or your typical methods... you learn it from scanning computers, tablets and relics and s***.

When you’re driving in the desert he’ll sometimes give you a tip but he doesn’t talk much and the tips are obvious stuff so he doesn’t really spoil anything. You can turn off his voice too and ignore the tips, that’s what I’m doing on my hard mode playthrough
