Hard to believe the wait has been this long. I barely remember what it was like when I was 12 and this game came out. I remember spending countless hours and loving every moment, but I’ve genuinely forgotten most of the game.

I thought back in 2017 when we got that teaser trailer that the wait was finally over, so it’s pretty surreal that we’re here in 2025 standing at the other end of this 2 decade time gap. What a time to be alive.

Imagine if we didn’t have Dread to keep Metroid fans sated while we wait

The year of Silksong & Prime 4 will forever be cherished (hope I’m not jinxing it if Prime 4 somehow doesn’t meet expectations )

One thing’s for sure is that sweet sweet Metroid Prime music finna hit us hard once we get to experience MP4

finished fusion and zero mission

idk if ill be able to start dread or samus returns in time i kinda wanna prioritize the prime games now...

off memory i wanted to say fusion was my favorite but after replaying super, fusion, zero mission again idk if i cant pick lol, theyre all damn good

i will say though fusion probably has the most challenging bosses out of the three, probably in all of metroid lol

Super to me is untouchable. Its literally perfect, id have to nitpick hard to find any flaws.

I also think dread's bosses are the hardest in the 2d games, but its been a while since i played fusion and besides the final SA-X fight and the weird anti gravity robot i don't remember much so i could be wrong

I have a feeling that Nintendo/Retro is holding back something major with this game and we might have our minds blown once we play it

Just like real-life action figurines with voices built-in

Knowing how high effort Odyssey and TOTK are gives me a ton of hope that this will be that level

npc aside the face models in this game actually look pretty good

While i think its impossible for this game to match the 10+8 years long expectations set by fans, i think it'll be a worthy 4th entry that can stand toe to toe with the trilogy. They still get what makes metroid good, the art direction and ost already sound top level

Im personally probably getting the viola amiibo so i hope the alternate colors look as cool as current viola does

I’m just wondering how “advanced” this is gonna end up feeling in the end, if it’ll feel like a proper next-Gen Prime title or something that could’ve came out 20 years, just with better visuals.

I think its gonna be a continuation of the previous 3 for better and for worse. Fine by me, as there's literally no other game that plays like these besides like maybe the arkham trilogy in some aspects, but i get why it might not be exciting for people who arent huge fans of Metroid and prime in particular
