This game did little to nothing as far as story telling. Skull face is the most boring villain in mgs history. But as far as gameplay it is really fun. I had a great time playing it and that quarantine mission damn near made me shed a tear. Mgs 3 is still my fav

Agreed. Hated that game for the first few times I played it because I hate stealth games. Gave it a real shot and kept playing. This is a game you have to soak in. Imo it doesnt really click and ge great until like 5 hours in when you get the dog

The open world was really bare and it hurt the game because you had to f***ing travel across open nothingness just to start the mission. The enemy bases were already large enough to explore so adding the open world on top of that was not necessary. Also don't get me started on the story because f*** Kojima and f*** Konami. MGS still my #1 favorite video game series of all time tho.

The fact that it’s open world makes me hate it i wanted like 20 ground zeroes type missions for mgsv. No single mission topped ground zeroes level design.

how are you going to say f*** kojima knowing it was konami's fault? all his other works show that story is not a weak point of his

i can understand that, i just played it like each mission was it's own isolated mgs event

Kojima kept wasting time and money so eventually Konami had to pull the plug. The game was already delayed and Kojima still didn't finish it and which caused them to cut off parts of the story. I know everyone likes to blame Konami for how MGS V story came out but Kojima is equally deserving of that blame too.
