Michael Bay films are guilty pleasures of mine. I love the bad boys movies and think they are criminally underrated especially 1. I don’t get how that s*** got a 42% on RT 🤦🏽‍♂️

I hated 6 underground. The editing and shenanigans was too much for me. But I actually really f***in enjoyed Pain & Gain and 13 hours. The transformers movie is meh tho.

I feel you. This movie basically suppose to be “Speed” in an ambulance. And “Speed” was basically “Die Hard” on a bus. The circle of life lol

Sounds like a complete ode to 90s action filmmaking then haha

Probably also got his best chance at being his most well received film since The Rock

Pain and Gain is probably my favorite movie of his though. Its simultaneously one of the most self aware and least self aware movies oat and I love it for that

tbh I agree. Bad Boys 1 & 2 are classics imo. Pain and Gain was probably the last Michael Bay movie I enjoyed. I see him as an auteur director just not your typical one

  • Feb 25, 2021

The film is based on the 2005 Danish film of the same name, and stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as two thieves who rob an ambulance occupied by a paramedic (Eiza González), and a patient in critical condition.

I can def understand hating it if you were a victim of that real life incident because it most certainly does not give a single s*** about the innocents hurt in that real event with how they are portrayed

But I love how little of a s*** it gives man. It’s just this full out f*** you to the American Dream that doesn’t play either side

Yeah the premise is definitely a twist on Speed but still sounds interesting af.

Lmao for real. Is that why it’s hated because it doesn’t give a s*** and isn’t “sensitive” towards the victims?

So basically if the movie wasn’t based on a true story it would of got better reviews

Is @op banned? Is that why he doesn’t have an avy

Well, for context, Wolf of Wall Street has like a 75% on RT because a good portion of critics didn’t get the obvious satire behind it and called it misogynistic and a glorification of d*** / party culture lmao

So Pain and gain is like an even bigger push on all those elements and critics have way less respect for Bay than Scorsese so they mostly just found this movie to be offensive and didn’t believe it was a satire lol

Makes perfect sense. Smh didn’t even think of it that way 🤦🏽‍♂️

Wolf of Wall Street being anything less than a 90% is a crime to me. One of my favorite films in the 2010s.

it's Bay going full Bay in the same way he did with Bad Boys 2 except without all the obnoxious trash humor.

I just didn’t like the wacky editing it had. Idk why but I hate when movies have wild ass effects going on

Just saw this. Was a lot better than I expected and pretty entertaining start to finish.

Gyllenhaal, Abdul-Mateen, and Gonzalez all do great in the three main roles, and it gets shockingly emotional at parts.

The trailers made it look like a dogshit run of the mill action movie but I’d say it’s worth a watch, not a bad film at all. Solid 7/10.

    King Bay is Back!!!

  • Apr 8, 2022

This is a movie made for IMAX. The explosions, gunshots, car crashes, and alike all come together and forms a crazy experience. And the story was really entertaining too.

Going to see it again soon with family
