I'm old enough that when Free Willy came out I remember telling my uncle that I liked MJs song Will You Be There and his response was "you know he's a pedophile, right"
No, uncle, I barely even know what that is
It was already over in '93
Just can't believe how much MJ has taken over again
I know other people got a boost from their biopics but nothing like this

Timeless music will always survive

No one will ever come close

Thoughts on MJ's output post Bad?
Too many musicheads are comfortable running their mouths for disrespecting 'The Girl Is Mine'
I love it, even the talking bits lol even from a production pov it's masterfully crafted.

Dangerous is my personal fav Mj album/era and HIStory is also mostly fantastic. BOTDF is fire too even if the remixes are ass
Not a big fan of Invincible, it's become a tad overrated by his younger fanbase. Still has gems though

Splitting up from Quincy was the right move and allowed MJ more flexability and experimentatiom with his sound. I'm not a big Dangerous guy (despite will you be there being a big personal favourite) however HIStory is bordering on my third favourite from the King. 👑
I've only listened to Invisible a couple pf times - I was really impressed by the hyper-polished, future synths inspired, and the rhythmic aggression of the tracks that Rodney Jerkins worked on. It makes me wonder what another MJ album would have sounded like with contemporary technology he didn't pass prematurely.
I'm remembering that story now where Janet and MJ were gonna record Scream together and after Mike tore it up in the studio Janet just went Hey uhh... I'll record my part next week or so ok?
MJ dancing in the booth while recording just further highlights his perfectionist tendencies and his dedication to his creative process.
