I love MJs adlib here when he just grabs the mic
You can see the total takeover music had before he snaps back into the shy non performer

Always felt that Michael being compared to a James Brown made more sense than the endless vaccuous pitting against Prince.
MJ was a showman and so was James Brown.
Prince had elements of it, but was more of an never ending evolving artist as i mentioned previously like Bowie.

The last clip in this post is mindblowing, so rigid + snappy yet fluid at the same time
Every so often I come across a fan filmed concert and just get blown away all over again. It's just magic

The recent surge in popularity for Michael reminded me of this poster from Billboard in 1980.
"The whole world's gone Off The Wall"
I wonder if those people putting the ad together in 1980, 46 years ago, would think "The entire globe is rockin' Michael Jackson's hits" would still be true all this time later

This album is almost 50 years old. This is so crazy if you think about it

of course theres plenty of albums from the same time period and even before that are still considered staples for any music listener but this s*** and his other albums are selling like they just came out within the last year. i dont really see this boom in his numbers declining much if at all either, because the people i know who werent big mike fans before the biopic are f***ing HOOKED, expect off the wall, thriller, bad and maybe dangerous to become permanent fixtures on Billboard and digital charts.
