can this top elvis?
As a film, easily. But can they get someone who can kill the MJ role on the level of Austin Butler? Man…
mfers are gonna do some of the most ridiculous moonwalks ever seen
Speaking of: I’d love for just once we get a music biopic where we see the artist actually struggle with creating something, or at least the effort to go from the idea to the work we love. Let’s get a sequence of Michael getting the inspiration for the Moonwalk, going through trials of trying to nail it, failing, then getting it right
These artists are always presented like Mary Sues in regards to their musical/performing skills and it’s annoying. Like their artistry is treated like set dressing alongside their personal lives instead of something to be earned and a key character trait

Bro’s still in the role too lmao

That’s the one thing that gets me so mad while watching these biopics. These artists creating these songs sporadically after humming a melody for 2 seconds.
What you’re saying about the Moonwalk sounds awesome, but you know they’re gonna play it off like a silly thing he perfected 2 seconds after he woke up lol.
I really don’t think a biopic is the right move for MJ. He’s one of those artists that should just get a mega budget anthology show taking us through different eras in his life.

And I stress this cause it’s like dude…we only care about these artists personal lives and controversies because we care about their artistry first and foremost. We don’t care about some random mf with vitiligo bleaching his skin and getting surgery, we care about the man who made Thriller having vitiligo bleaching his skin and getting surgery
They can easily dramatize the artistry and make us care as much as they do their personal lives

I feel that's you fam cause ur an artist the majority of the public doesn't really care about the making of music or wanna see that. They wanna see especially with MJ the personal s*** the Joe stuff the kid stuff all of that.
Audiences concern about music begins and ends with hearing it when they see films like this they wanna see the artist behind it not him making his craft

You can still show the personal stuff tho. You don’t think they would care if it was done right?
i have a soft spot for his Equalizer films and his The Magnificent Seven remake, but his last actually great film was Training Day
one thing all those movies have in common: Denzel carrying his weak direction

Honestly no

I always thought his directing is great but he picks horrible scripts but he has a really good sense of style
The part where Joe oils him up and whoop him with a switch he got from a tree might make me cry fr

Ryan Gosling

Lol what an idiot if you have vitiligo you can’t be “bleaching your skin”
Hopefully the film will go some way to correcting such bullshit narratives that are still parroted by many
Its frustrating that they literally found zero evidence of him ever hurting children in any capacity and yet some people like my GF believe he's 100% guilty. They raided his entire house and found NOTHING.
it's such a shame
Gonna take some big cajones for an actor to step up to this
Fuqoa is an odd choice He sucks
Ryan Gosling
