    Good movie

    Can’t wait for part 2

  • The pacing and structure of this film is really bad

  • Quincy seemed severely underutilized. There’s hardly any behind the scenes music making going on here.

This film feels like it must’ve been a headache to put together

  • JuanCena

Most fun theater experience I’ve had in years

Could not stop moving the entire time and neither could anyone else

Movie was exactly what I needed it to be

    Can’t wait for part 2

    I love Michael Jackson

Must say seeing the entire theatre dance during the film and afterwards was so wholesome

Saw someone say the critic and audience scores are both right and I feel that

As a music fan and mj fan there's so much to love about this. Jafar portrayal of mj is mesmerizing and was f***ing me up that it wasn't actually him. Also the music scenes especially in imax were phenomenal and probably the closest many us will ever get to experience a Mj and the Jackson's 5 concert

I'll Be There, Motown 25 and Human Nature gave me goosebumps.

That being said as a movie there's a lot lacking, and I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if not at a theater setting. Everyone besides mj, and even him at times, felt 1 dimensional and no real depth. His brothers and quincy were just stand ins for the most part.

I get its a biopic and tryna show milestones in his whole life, but for someone like mj who has hella milestones you gotta speed run through it to cover everything. Which is why it felt like a highlight reel at times. Probably would of been better hyperfocusing on just the Thriller era and use tasteful flashbacks.

I agree, it was an overall fun theatre experience especially in IMAX. There’s no way anyone could just sit in their seats without feeling that genuine emotion. Sure some characters felt one dimensional, but maybe it’s something they’ll fix in the next film.

I was yesterday years old when I learned Diana Ross was apparently grooming MJ & Dirty Diana is likely about her

@KingOfPop can you elaborate on this? I don’t have twitter

I’ve heard like small rumors about this but what’s the actual situation

  • Showtime.

  • YANDHI

Thought Jafaar did great and we were lucky to get him in this role. The more the movie progressed the more uncanny the resemblance was. Just a great effort.

Thought the movie itself was underwhelming. Speed-runs through years, skips about every conflict/turning point in his life, and just nothing on any of his closest collaborators and friends. Even with his family his own brothers act like NPCs and his parent's are just simple archetypes (archenemies dad, good mom). When there was a time to linger on sensitive points, they made sure to keep it as short as possible. There really just isn't much here if you move outside of the music scenes. It didn't even try to capture collaborators like Quincy beyond 10 seconds?

I think it's certainly a good celebration of Michael's music, a crowd please and will do well, I just don't think it has much to offer as an insight on who he was, his genius, or turning points and struggles in his life.

Yeah. Im'a repost this and leave it at THAT.

  • Wow wow wow that human nature performance no bull s*** i shed a few tears watching it that was so good
