Null_I’m not saying this guy specifically because I don’t know but there are definitely a bunch of White people on YouTube (and other music reviewing platforms) that pretend to like Trap music much more than they actually do in order to seem “cool/not out of touch”. It’s basically “I’m not like the other girls” but replace girls with old boomers who listen to rock/young alt kid that listens to rock
Not saying they might not genuinely enjoy these trap artists, but I feel like they exaggerate or at the very least unnecessarily point out how much they enjoy it opposed to other music to overcompensate so people don’t think they’re closed minded
Might be on to something here
