It definitely feels like top-tier MIKE. But I would say Tears of Joy and War In My Pen were already hitting very high heights. Not ready to put it above those just yet.

That’s definitely fair. I think for me it’s the production and sequencing here that just feels slightly more refined and takes it to a new height

Does have a very, very polished feel, no filler or moments where it lags, so far to me at least. Which even ToJ and WIMP I think are guilty of at times. So could definitely see it becoming my favourite.

To me MGBYH hasn't aged too too well. May well be alone in that. But always find it just runs too long - certains beats overstay their welcome, long soundbites, very feature heavy.
Definitely an essential listen, but think he's comfortably eclipsed it.

I like me some imperfection and muddiness. Especially with these artists. This is fantastic sounding no doubt. But never felt the rawer nature of his previous work detracted from it necessarily.
