"little Things" and "sparrow" by Big Thief out now
Thank God lol
Let that album flop, Ye did this to himself. That s*** was ready to go 2 weeks ago
yep lol
its a bunch of mid ideas thrown together. and the sad part is, there's no uncut gems there. no amount of refining can fix this. Kanye needs to release and move on, just accept it as a miss. I think the fact that he tied it to his dead mother is a bad sign. making music means letting yourself express what u feel. when u have this massive pressure to make it the best bc now its part of ur mother's legacy, u lose a lot of that creative freedom u had. I think donda would have been a fitting name for a song, or maybe a title for the project, chosen after its completion. but it's clear here that the title came first, and this music is explicitly tied to a person who isn't Kanye, and I don't like what that means creatively.
I can tell some of y’all would let Ye yell in your face and keep working for him
Not saying this is what happened but still lmao
There were legit people cool that he was treating that engineer like s*** during the AM room livestream lol. Or talking to Chance like his child
Dude is a c***, and might be even more of one than he was in the old days (where the KANYE cult of personality buried most of that)
Kanye running one of them Nike sweat shops over there

I think he thought he could still make a MBDTF quality project. And I know some of the properties of this rollout stem from other avenues than MBDTF, but I think he tried to channel a lot of that roll out here.
I believe somewhere in the crafting of the project, he just realized that he himself doesn’t have that same music ability. Maybe the Rubins and the Deans were a big part of it, but I always thought the biggest thing Kanye stood out in, is that he could craft a project better than anyone. Transitions, momentum, track lists. Post Yeezus, I think he just lost it (or he stopped listening to the people who helped him Idk)
He locked away in the TDE dungeons mixing 4 albums simultaneously what makes you think he got time for Donda
He mixes a lot of people s*** outside of TDE
Damn that's harsh.
Producers/engineers are already stressed out on the job as is, so hearing negativity like that more than once can definitely strain the working process and create a split.
At least it wasn't on some Atlanta s***.

donald real asf for this scene bruh
nobody knows how ass a lot of engineers have it
