somethin about taz taylor just rubs me the wrong way bro

Dude used to be on KTT1 (producer thread) on some "fuck the industry, i rather sell beats on youtube" type s***, and would constantly get himself involved in beefs with people that would lead to doxxing lol. Then he unintentionally got a industry placement and went on to become an industry producer. He's a weirdo with anger issues but you got to give it to him, he managed to make himself a place in the industry.

He's the epitome of making music for the money/fast food music though. He's also been exposed for making advances towards a female artist he signed on some really creepy s***.

WLR more innovative than the other two

808 and that other album cool but they were mostly building on sounds already happening in the mainstream or underground.

    WLR is its own thing

  • Dec 26, 2020

yeah WLR is a good project for Carti and all with some bops but comparing to artists with actual talent is disrespectful

  • Dec 26, 2020

    WLR>Yeezus

You can say the same thing about WLR

    There’s not much to reinvent

808s is a synth pop album and it’s lyrically content makes it a unique album for somebody like kanye to drop at the time. A forward thinking album that was ahead of its time, not sonically, but thematically. It still sounds fresh cause it built upon classic synth pop sounds.

WLR is pretty innovative too. I love it

WLR is nothing like how different yeezus was, cant believe people even making that comparison

  • Campari

Yeezus was a great project but let's not pretend Sufjan Stevens wasn't experimenting with those same lush and exuberant sounds on The Age of Adz, 3 years prior.

Justin Vernon also happened to channel that style on 22, A Million on tracks like Deathbreast.

Ye may have brought the sound to a more mainstream audience but the blueprint had been laid years before.

Sorry but what does Age of Adz have in common with Yeezus? What exuberant sounds you referring to cause they sound completely different to me.

Mike Dean right, the comparison is tired but so is that fast food music that Twitter loves to hype up.

Here's an idea; ban all music discussion from Instagram/Twitter until a week after release

    ight its pretty simple

the samples and producers ye worked with on these projects are more eclectic, and while carti project sounds fresh and different, the drums and chord progressions on wlr are very much of the times

Most of his vocal inflections are borrowed from Future and Thug. People are really exposing themselves
