Brother, they’re one shooting away from s*** jumping the wrong way. Let ppl exercise their rights and channel their anger in an organized manner. The ppl demand action from their leaders, leave the liberal chastising to the ppl on the sidelines

S*** literally has to jump the wrong way for anything to happen atp. Shutting down the country not gonna do s*** but make yall look annoying and performative. ICE is not going anywhere as long as Trump is in office.

Save this energy for the midterms instead, he’s close to being booted out of office anyway

It quite literally is when nothing is gonna change. Mfs had to burn cities down in 2020 to get them to respond

We told yall to show up to them polls, we told yall about project 2025. Now the orange man is back and out for blood because yall didn’t take voting seriously. Voting is direct action, you mfs better be at the polls this year or your gonna be doing strikes for 4+ years lmfao

Go protest just saying we want that same energy on election day. Where was the outrage then? Over half of Americans voted for the orange man. We knew s*** was gonna get bad but millions voted for him anyway.

How about a "nationwide shutdown" on Election Day 2024? No work no school, no shopping, just go to the polls.

Now that might have prevented all of this from happening.

Well and before you say "there's no overlap" between those who voted for Trump or abstained and those that want to protest. Okay cool, in that case the protest isn't gonna mean anything anyway. Hed still be as popular now as he was back then.

It's performative for a segment of people that didn't vote in 2024.
I bet there are people who only want to protest because they get a day off lol. Or they gonna show up for the midterms? That's the real protest date. National Shutdown should be on the day of the midterms.

If you gonna protest, it should be mandatory that you promise and are registered to vote. If not then we don't want your lame ass protesting

Dems can’t even vote as a block to prevent an increase in ICE funding, there will be a magic number against it and nothing will change

This isn’t even talking defunding or abolishing…

    dems won’t save us

brother, i went to the No Kings Protests

they are not about s*** man. it’s the biggest virtue signaling you can imagine then home for fast food and comfort and the next distraction. I was the only one SCREAMING Trump is a murderer amongst THOUSANDS and when i said he was anti-American mid rant, noticeably heard groans. screaming for the Hispanic kids getting snatched from they homes. screaming for the Palestinian kids starving to death.

unless s*** is really burning down like how people stepped out for George Floyd, I’m not really tryna hear it from liberal white people. fight for something, cause them posters and chants aren’t changing s*** dawg. the other side just laughing and getting more and more violent to the p****footing

So because you were discouraged by a protest that had no demands, funded by billionaires and essentially a photo op, with 0 real way to make a difference, You’re out on the idea of a strike that if (BIG If) done right could actually f*** some s*** up?

I agree most aren’t about s*** I’m just saying if this was done right this could be the 1 way to actually cause some damage as a collective without violence

I’ve been protesting since I left home in 2015 so idk what you saying rn bro lol. I was in high school outside when I wasn’t supposed to be protesting for Eric Garner

I just used a recent example to show that ain’t s*** changed in 10 years, it’s actually just gotten worse and deeper into virtue. we gotta burn this s*** down, enough of the silence and peace and signs, they don’t give a flying f***

I’m going off the context I had, I don’t blame you for feeling that way. I just think a general strike would be one of the most effective ways we could actually change things. Hit them in their pockets and things will turn.

And I’m not against any of the more extreme measures

it’s definitely a deep and complicated discussion bro, I’m just glad we can discuss it and try to see where we both coming from cause I think those understandings will lead to new methods of standing up together
